Railway Museum-William
Something that I learned how long the royal train was. I had no idea that it would be basically a moving house. I also leanred that the train station was used to deport Jews during World War II. Something I found interesting was the POST car and how there would be passengers riding in the same train car as the person sorting mail. It also interesting that people could smoke in while in the train car.

Yeah the post car was interesting! I find it a bit funny how passengers were allowed to ride, but man that must’ve been annoying for the postal person. I was surprised that we all fit in there! It looks a lot bigger inside than it looks outside!
The memorial outside the station surprised me because I didn't realize that the trains in the Netherlands would have played a part in the enslavement of the Jews.
I knew that trains were a big mode of transportation during WWII. However it took me a while to realize that a major use was the transportation of Jews. I also found it interesting how they let people smoke right next to all the mail in the post car. I’d be really concerned about an ember igniting some mail especially when the train can’t stop immediately to put out a fire.
